the world cup has finally come to an end with ITALY emerging as world champions for the fourth time. the final had everyone the fans wanted in a world cup final. zidane's moment of madness was surely the highlight of the match other than the fact that david trezeguet missed a spot kick.

zidane's actions was totally uncalled for as they lost their captain marvel in the last ten minutes of extra time. but credit goes to italy for playing superbly throughout the seven matches. cannavaro was solid like a rock and i reckon he'll win the golden ball award.

now its time for me to get some good and well deserved sleep since the world cup fever is well and truely over.

SOUTH AFRICA here we come!
